2002-2003 Volunteers of the Year!
Organization Committee: Tim Anderson
Tim Anderson was chosen as the Organization Committee's Volunteer of the Year. Tim was chosen because he orchestrated our move into the new office space at One Union Plaza, and has worked diligently to keep up with the technological needs of New London Main Street. Tim is also chair of the New London Main Street's Finance Committee.
Economic Enhancement Committee: Sharyn Burke Montalbano
Sharyn Burke Montalbano was chosen as the Economic Restructuring Committee's Volunteer of the Year. Sharyn was chosen ERC Volunteer of the Year for completing two projects: the financing alternatives project and the Economic Restructuring Committee's booth. Sharyn is employed by Fleet Bank, 250 State Street in downtown New London as an AVP Senior Business Specialist.
Promotion Committee: Gretchen Higgins
Gretchen Higgins was chosen the Promotion Committee's Volunteer of the Year for chairing or co-chairing four projects: Artists Open Studios (Greg Bowerman co-chair), Night Kitchen (Brandy Kolmer co-chair), 2003 Poster and Inside the Race with Dan Topolski at the Garde Arts Center, which was part of Celebrate Regatta.
