This fully automated lighthouse built in 1909 might be haunted. The stately red brick building reflecting the French Empire style of many of New London's old homes sits at the entrance to New London Harbor. For years, there have been tales of an old lighthouse keeper, Ernie, haunting the premises by knocking, turning electronics on and off, and causing other unexplained happenings. Find out for yourself by taking a tour with Project Oceanology. To admire the lighthouse from afar, there are great views from Pequot Avenue and on one of the many ferries coming and going from the harbor.
