The Thames Club was founded in 1869 and remains Connecticut's oldest social club. Members of the club and reciprocal clubs can take part in the many events that are offered such as Thames Club Murder Mystery, Greek Festival Night and Wine Tasting. The Thames Club also features a bowling alley which has both a Members' League and a Couples' League.
