The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra concert series starts off the New Year. ECSO Music Director, Toshiyuki Shimada conducts the program, which includes: Emily Cooley's "Render and Reach;" Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto D Major featuring guest soloist, Chelsea Starbuck Smith, ECSO 2012 Instrumental Competition Winner; and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. The Soloist is sponsored by Chelsea Groton Bank. Free pre-concert conversation given by ECSO Concertmaster, Stephan Tieszen.

A free post-concert reception is offered to all members of the audience. Tickets priced at $27-$60 with senior, student, and active military personnel discounts in selected seating areas. Student rush tickets priced at $12 available night of the performance.
