Come to the 9th Annual Connecticut Historic Gardens Day at Shaw Mansion. Enjoy homemade strawberry shortcake, crochet and tours of the gardens.

Meet with Connecticut Master Gardeners who will answer your questions about the Shaw Mansion garden. Later in the afternoon, Miss Perkins and some of her friends from the 1860s return to her garden to offer a special guided tour sharing, "The Language of Flowers."

A local croquet club will play a match and demonstrate the secrets of the game.

Cost: $5 per person.
