Fall Food Stroll 2009

Fall will officially kick off in the District at New London Main Street's Annual Fall Food Stroll.

  • Chefs from the Historic Waterfront District's finest eateries are preparing savory samples of autumn's seasonal delights.
  • Boutiques, galleries and specialty shops are offering snacks and new fall merchandise specials.
  • Purchase a button and stroll over 50 venues offering their signature menu items and unique promotional items.
  • Stroll to live music throughout the streets performed by some of the best local entertainers.

- Above/Below at The Crocker House
- Timepiece - Strolling throughout The District

Whether you are a real foodie, or just want to check out The District, this Stroll will be sure to have something to offer for everyone! Come be a part of the excitement and check out what's new!

The Culinary Excellence Competition is back by popular demand! Chefs from Johnson & Wales University will judge restaurants, cafes and caterers based on Appearance, Texture, Taste and Originality. Eateries will be award after Stroll at 9:00pm.

Introducing Expressiones Cultural Center's "From the Frying Pan to the Canvas". View works of art inspired by chefs' creations at the following locations:

Admission buttons are $25 in advance, $30 on Stroll Day, drink coupon included. Military $20 with I.D. Students $20 in advance, $25 Stroll Day, drink coupon not included. Children 5 and under stroll free.

Button purchases also include Main Street's Map & Guide, and a Stroll Map showing the location of each participating venue. Stroll Maps will also be provided in each venue.

Buttons may be purchased online, at the Main Street office in the Atrium at Harris Place at 165 State Street, Suite 101, Mon-Fri 9:30 AM-5:30 PM; or by sending a check made out to New London Main Street including your name, address, number of adult and student buttons and email address .

Buttons ordered by mail or online can be picked up on October 14th at the hospitality table in front of the Atrium beginning at 5 PM.

Buttons sold out for the last Spring Stroll, so the public is advised to purchase in advance!

A reduced parking rate is being offered at Cornish Parking Garage at 70 Union Street and at the Water Street Parking Garage.
