Bruce A. McDermott's 2006 Poster
Bruce Abbott McDermott is a sculptor, painter, and musician. His poster, Garde Night Out, chosen for the 2006 New London Main Street poster, depicits a family about to attend one of the many events at the Garde Arts Center in downtown New London.
The Connecticut Commission on the Arts has sponsored his work, and McDermott shows primarily in SE Connecticut and Rhode Island. He has won awards for his artwork and is currently represented by JoyceEllen Fine Arts in New London. He works in representational and abstract modes and has a studio in New London's Dewart Building. He is an Elected Artist of the Mystic Art Center, and has taught sculpture there. He is an alumnus of The Lyme Academy of Fine Arts and the Rhode Island School of Design. He is married, and lives in Mystic, CT.

Posters are $15 for members or $20 for non-members. Posters are also avilable signed by the artist for an additional $10 or framed for an additional $20. To have your unframed poster mailed, please send a check, including $3 for shipping and handling, to the Main Street office; framed posters must be picked up at the Main Street office.
