James Gibson's 2008 Poster

2008 New London Main Street poster by James Gibson

James Gibson is a graphic designer at Smizer Perry, the marketing communications and graphic design firm responsible for creating the brand identity of the 26-block downtown area now known as The District. The award-winning District logo, as well as promotional materials, were conceived and designed by Gibson. The poster is created from layering the rich colors of the logo with abstract washes of paint over a large celebratory "10" commemorating New London Main Street's tenth anniversary. James is a New London resident, a member of the New York City Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Artists, and serves as an alternate on the Connecticut Art Directors Club Board of Directors.
