The New London Saturday Market

New London Saturday Market Preview at the Spring Food Stroll!

The New London Saturday Market will be participating in the Spring Food Stroll - but in a different spot than usual. The NLSM will be moving from the Parade Plaza to the Garde Theater Gallery Space on the corner of State Street & Meridian. This is due to "anticipated" breeziness that would make for tough conditions for an entire venue supported by tents."

No matter the weather - we'll be happy to see you - so please drop by!

New London Saturday Market

The 2007 New London Saturday Market's sixth season starts on the weekend of the Yale-Harvard Regatta on the Thames River, Saturday, June 9th 2007. Market hours are 10-4 PM and occasionally vendors will stay through to 6 PM.

The last market day ends with the New London Main Street celebration of Celts and Currachs, a celebration of Irish Heritage on Saturday, August 25th 2007.

This year we will be back on the Parade, Union Plaza, in Historic Downtown New London located were State Street meets Bank Street. With a renewed focus in a comprehensive presentation of performances, crafts, international goods, fresh vegetables and an international food court, we are looking forward to an exciting market season. We have also made changes in the overall layout of the market design to improve visibility and participation.

In addition, we are excited about the prospects of our new collaborative partnerships with Mitchell College, New London Main Street and the Day Publishing Company. Together we will work towards improving market participation and attendance.

The 2007 New London Saturday Market is supported in part by a generous grant from the Frank Loomis Palmer Trust.
