Living History Play 2007. Travel Back in Time

Travel back through time this holiday season as New London Main Street and Flock Theatre take you on a magical journey through over 200 years of New London's rich history. Travel by horse and carriage as you embark on a time travel adventure written by award-winning playwright Charles Traeger that brings the past to life in four historic sites in New London's Historic Waterfront District.

Living History Play 2007.

This engaging holiday production takes you to the Hempstead Houses, the Shaw Mansion, the U.S Custom House Maritime History Museum and the Bulkeley House, where you can top the evening off with warm drinks or a cozy dinner before hitting the streets to finish your holiday shopping.

New London Main Street's Living History Play "New London Through Time & Place" was awarded the "Best Special Event" by Connecticut Main Street's Awards for Excellence in Downtown Revitalization program.

Once you see this production, you'll want to make it a holiday tradition for your entire family!

Advance sale tickets go on sale November 1st until November 29th 2007 at the Garde Arts Center for the special price of $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. Beginning November 30th tickets sales move to the New London Main Street office in the Atrium at the Harris Building, 165 State Street. Regular price tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Children's tickets are for those 12 and under.

Important Details for the Audience

  • Performance tours depart promptly from The Atrium at 165 State Street every twenty minutes.
  • Please arrive ten minutes early to ensure that you do not miss your performance tour
  • Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes
  • The audience will be transported to the location of the first scene by horse and carriage and walk several blocks to each of the remaining scene venues. For further details regarding accessibility at each of the venues, download the Guide to Access (PDF, 92 KB)
  • No photography permitted at scene venues
  • The performance tour lasts roughly one hour and fifteen minutes
  • Please turn off your cell phones
  • Tours will only be canceled due to Extremely inclement weather
  • If cancellation occurs, NLMS will do its best to place you on another tour or we will refund your money
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
