Farmers Market
Update:: Fiddleheads Natural Foods Cooperative announces that it will host Farmers Markets on Wednesdays beginning March 26th, in addition to the Saturday Farmers Markets. New Hours: Beginning April 9, 2008, the Spring Farmers Markets will be held 2:30-5:30 PM every Wednesday and 10 AM-2 PM every Saturday through June 28, 2008. Location: Future grocery store site of Fiddleheads at 13 Broad Street.
Items grown and/or made regionally. Mini-store. Music! Cheeses, locally raised meat, and eggs. Greens, assorted vegetables, potatoes, and Heritage apples. Jams and spreads, honey, locally roasted coffee beans, breads, pastries, pies, and herbs. Kettle korn, candy, and ice-cream. Candles, flowers, soaps & other body products, knits, canvas totes and more!
Saturday, February 2 to October 11, 2008 Fiddleheads Food Cooperative will host a Winter Farmers Market in the site of their future store at 13 Broad Street. Beginning this Saturday and continuing on Saturdays in February, March and April (beginning February 2nd, 2008) from 10 AM to 2 PM and will include items grown and/or made regionally.

Love Cheese? All of the cheesemakers mentioned in the New Haven Advocate article "Wheeling Down the CT Cheese Trail" (Cato Corner Farm, Beaver Brook Farm, Beltane Farm, Meadowstone Farm and Bush Meadow Farm) will have their cheeses at the Winter Farmers Market.
There's been a wonderful response from vendors! A sampling of the offerings includes: greens, apples, meat, fish, honey, maple syrup, cheese, eggs, jams, jellies, body products, baked goods, locally roasted coffee, ice cream, pies & more.
